About the podcast

Since its premiere on the HeadGum Network in August 2015, the This Is Why podcast (formerly called This Is Why You're Single) repeatedly hit the iTunes top 10 list for comedy podcasts – and peaked at #68 worldwide. It garnered over 4.5 million downloads. The show tackled topics such as dating with disabilities, single shaming, dating while transitioning genders, STI shaming, ageism, being an introvert, sexual fluidity, slut-shaming and many more. After five years of hosting This Is Why You’re Single, in 2020 they re-branded their podcast to simply This Is Why to encompass their growing interests, giving best friend advice on everything from news, politics, motherhood, dating, friendship, workplace dynamics and more. The show wrapped after six years in August 2021.
